Famous Last Words

I slumped back into my chair and stared into the glowing abyss emitting from my laptop screen.

“An invisible enemy,” I muttered to myself. No doubt this was a sign.

Coincidences fail to exist in a world of synchronicities; moreover, propaganda is pushed out on repeat. And if the narrative about “atoms” uses the same concepts and vernacular as modern-day “viruses"... well, perhaps you’ll pardon me if I’m somewhat skeptical of the entire story at this point.

Speaking of propaganda, I had taken the command given in etymology.com to compare atom with atomic, and I was offered some literature to consider. However, I couldn’t help but scoff when I read that the atomic bomb was first recorded in an H G Wells novel in 1914, and I mentally put a tally in the “propaganda push column.”

So, with my suspicions only gaining validity, I figured it didn’t matter which direction I traveled through this rabbit hole, so long as I refrained from being distracted and triggered by each word and breadcrumb conveying misdirection and lies, I heeded any and all instinct in discernment, and I continued through until revelation struck. Because surely, an answer was waiting to be found.

…Right?...

...I mean, there is an answer…

…Right???

"There Is No Ending..." Meta Musing Interruption

We interrupt your originally scripted musing to bring you this Meta-Musing-Message….Ladies and gentlemen, PenName Protection:

Hello PenPals and Pseudo Phans.

Making the Where’s Atom Manifested Musing series has been quite the experience for me. So much so, that I had to create this meta-manifested-musing to push this story along instead of the research montage I originally scripted. In fact, one YouTube channel, in particular, might call it a “Reality exposes itself” experience.

You see, when I first picked up that dictionary, many moons ago now, I had no clue of the journey I was about to embark upon.

Honestly, I was merely looking for a refresher on how the land of academia defined atoms. And once I discovered the definition was not readily and definitively defined, I should have realized I had approached an entrance of “the Bog.”

And I should have left it there and walked away.

Instead, I let curiosity take over. I jumped into the rabbit hole and started digging through the etymology. And shortly after, a mysteriously timed muse paid me a visit and gifted me with the inspiration and motivation to start, of all things, a YouTube channel.

And so began the documentation of this rabbit hole endeavor. Yet, wouldn’t you know it, no sooner had I embarked on my journey did the most bizarre thing happen.

Barbenheimer happened. Sure, I took notice of the weird synchronicity between my atomic adventure and the seemingly sudden reprise of the atomic bomb’s popularity. I noticed this quite readily, yet, I continued on...

As I continued, anywhere I looked, something new came along. Even when I put my attention elsewhere, I uncovered “atomic this” or “atoms that.” Before I knew it, my controlled distraction adventure was distracting and controlling me. And at some point, I lost track of the story I was telling you.

Moreover, the story had gone off the track.

There was another bizarre sync — perhaps better described as "creepy A.F." — that happened soon after making part 2 of this manifested musing.

As you no doubt remember from your multiple beginning-to-end viewings of "Where’s Atom?" parts 1 and 2, I praised Perplexity AI for being a great place to begin a rabbit hole adventure, and then mocked it for its pretentious self-marketing.

Well, wouldn’t you know it, I later opened up the application again, and it suddenly had a new tune.

Yet, that was only the tip of the iceberg.

Bizarre parallels and strange synchronicities such as this continued to surface throughout my endeavor, they simply didn’t stop. Yet it was one, in particular, that stopped me in my bunny tracks.

I’m referring to my discovery of the term “Pseudo-Democritus” and a note about the original alchemical works attributed to Democritus, known as “the Four Books,” which are now lost. As you might have suspected, it was the word “Pseudo” that caught my eye and dragged me in. But “the Four Books”... well, that smacked me in the face.

Because – as you couldn’t have suspected – “the four books” is the name of the first book collection I dreamt up some 20 years ago…

… a collection that has yet to be written, but I feel its manifestation is finally coming up on due. And well, that was more than a synchronicity...

That? That was a sign. A sign I couldn’t ignore.

Still, through it all, I managed to come across a lot of interesting pieces of the puzzle. Too many, in fact. Over the months, I’ve taken several dozen screenshots and bookmarked more books than I’ve read in the last 3 years combined.

In fact, the amount of information I came across was so abundant that I couldn’t possibly consume and digest all of it unless I dedicated months — if not years — of my life to studying it. All of it became overwhelming. It was like some bizarre conspiracy against me, happening in real time.

Once I realized the tunnel continued to expand with every step I took, and I could see no end was in sight, I finally decided to abandon my adventure. I had to. It was distracting me, stalling me, consuming me.

I admit I was saddened and felt somewhat defeated in my failure to get to the bottom of this ordeal. But then, I realized this was not sad. This was good news! The best news of all time. Of course, this was echoed and confirmed the moment I accepted it when I turned on the latest Quantum of Conscience video that day.

So, yeah. The real ending to this is that there is no ending to this.

Ultimately, that segment from the Unnamed Reality Book helped me realize a new vision for this video. And once I took a few steps back and considered the bigger picture, the puzzle pieces I’m about to share with you put together a satisfactory conclusion for me. For now, at least.

Still, as always, I’d love to hear your thoughts on any of this, so please feel free to leave a comment and share your piece of the puzzle with me. And thanks for joining me on this adventure.

(We now return to you to your regular manifested musing, already in progress.)

I Don’t Know You From Atom

To avoid getting overwhelmed, I first took on the simple task of locating all mentions of atoms within the various literature I pulled out of this rabbit hole. And so I began traveling the timeline.

mock-up of the timeline of Atoms
Pseudo's marked-up timeline of Atoms (according to the mainstream narrative, as presented on a 2010 NPR segment)

Prior to the propaganda push by Wells in 1914, there was “The New Knowledge” circa 1905. This was far too similar to the “New Normal” spell recently cast, so I figured this was where I’d find the big push into the mainstream.

Turns out I was right. It seems scientists of the day had already fully embraced and become obsessed with atoms after Dalton’s contributions. In this text, the word Atom was stated 75 times, Atoms 86 times, and Atomic 59 times.

I had also stumbled upon "An Elementary Treatise on Electricity" by James Clerk Maxwell, published in 1888. To my surprise, it only mentioned atoms once. Not as surprisingly, I found it in the electrolysis section.

From there, I went for the literature that I was all too excited to check out, "The Ordinal of Alchemy, or Crede Mihi," and I began reading it. According to the official narrative, the author, Thomas Norton, supposedly “came up” with the word Atoms for this poem of his. So, I had expected to be offered an explanation or definition.

Alas, only two mentions were casually spouted with the presumption of prior knowledge of their existence and parameters.

And that brings us to this ridiculous gap in the timeline.

To be honest, I didn’t go in search of any history here. Once upon an academic time, I would have attempted to fill in the blanks to create a smooth storyline.

In fact, had I pursued a career following any of my scientific interests, I might have actually contributed to the encyclopedia entry from Stanford on Ancient Atomism that attempted to take on that very task. Which, by the way, had a “substantive revision” made to it as recently as October 2022.

Today, however, I see that gap for what it is. A fluffy white rabbit. A major indicator that the whole story as we know it is corrupt on its face.

Still, I skimmed through the Stanford publication.

And while it seems that a good portion of the gap in time had been addressed, I couldn’t help but notice how often the idea of atoms had to be “revived” into play. Philosophers debated the idea to death multiple times, yet, according to the narrative, every hundred years or so, someone comes along to give this character new life.

...But, I mean, c’mon...

If we require people from generation after generation to go back and attempt to interpret what previous people couldn’t or wouldn’t clearly express, then what are we doing? What are we learning? How are we advancing? What the hell is actually going on here?

By this point, I no longer cared about Democritus and what he had to say about atoms. Besides, the truth was already dropped on him. He was “chosen by the people.” For whatever reason, we, or rather the Notnilc, choose to remember him. So, as far as I’m concerned, he’s a fully fabricated landmark distraction that must be ignored lest I get trapped in the bog.

Moreover, he wasn’t the answer I was seeking. The idea of Atoms didn’t originate with him.

Before Democritus and his tagalong teacher Leucippus spoke of atoms, there was Anaxagoras and his theory, “Everything is made of everything.”

Note the part where it admits that modern scientists and historians are confused about one-third of all nouns...

But the concept still went back further, stemming from ancient Chinese philosophy with the idea of ch’i, the vital energy source of all life, and ancient Indian philosophy with Anu, the father of the gods of the sky.

And there it is, folks. We’ve hit the bottom of my suspicions bucket.

Atoms are The Sky Gods. In other words, Atoms are energy and existence, itself. Atoms are Life, the water of life, and God is in the water. Atoms are God in any and every form possible. Atom = Adam = אָדָם. Atoms are not indivisible invisible parts of the whole made to be visualized; they ARE the WHOLE, the entirety of life made to be experienced.

I am not yet able to explain this using any other words. Other words have different meanings; different meanings can be manipulated and misunderstood — and have been.

The idea of Atoms has been revived over and over again to fit the latest science push of the time, reset again and again until today when it has officially evolved into its own religion: Atomism.

Once again, we’ve created a straw man, we’ve personified something into an imaginary mascot, and I’m not buying it.

A Tomb for Atom

It was around this time, in the midst of the chaos of conflicting definitions and the rabbit holes of history, I realized there was no end to this tunnel and had been flirting with the bog all along.

After a brief emotional rollercoaster ride, I was able to let go, and I found a peculiar beauty in the unknown. Many messages began to sink in, and it struck me that, sometimes, the universe's mysteries are what make our existence so awe-inspiring.

We don't always have to know everything. I don’t have to know everything. Not in this reality, not now.

It was a humbling moment, acknowledging that some answers may forever elude me, all of us, and that's perfectly okay. The pursuit of knowledge is, indeed, a lifelong adventure.

I have a new found contentment in this perpetual quest, this experience we’re all here to have. It's not about reaching the finish line, it’s not even about finishing this post; sometimes, it's about reveling in the journey itself.

So, I’ve let go of the need for a neatly wrapped conclusion to this musing, embracing the ongoing exploration of the universe's grand mysteries with gratitude and an open heart.

And with that, I close this chapter, knowing that the adventure will continue, filled with wonder, inquiry, and the joy of the never-ending pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.

Until next time, Pseudo Psays: “Woah! What’s that?” 🐇
